The X-Panel module is a control panel that displays in real time and dynamically the instantaneous values coming from the data loggers of the M / R / E-Log, Pluvi-ONE and Alpha-Log series.

The software receives the data from M / R / E-Log connected via cable or through the CommNET program. The use of the latter program allows you to use multiple independent X-Panel sessions on multiple computers on the same network.

For A-Log and Pluvi-ONE, the X-Panel takes data from an MQTT broker server where the data logger has sent the data.

With X-Panel the configuration of each page is fully customizable according to the data loggers and sensors to be displayed.

Management, reporting and analysis of data downloaded to the PC

GIDAS Viewer is the program for viewing historical data downloaded from data loggers (through 3DOM, CommNET and P1-CommNET).

The program uses the data in the SQL GIDAS database and produces tables and graphs, both of raw data and of reprocessed data, according to different time bases that can be selected by the user. The re-elaborations can be exported as Excel files ( CSV) or text files ( TXT), the graphs can be saved as images (* JPG). The program allows you to save data view filters (Views), with the possibility of including data from more than one station at the same time, using the same settings without having to re-edit them. The display can include one or more quantities acquired by one or more devices in order to aggregate data from different data loggers.

Supplied with each data logger, it allows configuration via PC, with the possibility of saving the various configurations locally.
Supplied with all data loggers, the program guides the user through the procedure, with the possibility of creating a final report. It allows both a quick and easy display of the instantaneous values acquired, useful for diagnostic purposes, and the download of data from the memory in .TXT format compatible with Excel.

The transfer of stored data to the PC is performed manually (on operator command) with a cable (RS232-USB / 485) or via Ethernet.

It is possible to set the date from which the data must be downloaded and visualize them (data preview) before downloading. Configuration of the two RS232 ports convertible to RS485 or USB

For automatic data download on PC

This module allows you to automatically configure, download and save the data present in a data logger in the SQL GIDAS database that resides on a PC (or on a Windows Server) or in a text file. CommNet can simultaneously manage different types of communication and protocols, including serial COM, PSTN, GSM and GPRS, TCP / IP, VHF / UHF radio.

The program consists of two modules, one for configuration and one for automatic data download. CommNET can be installed on a server, the generated SQL database and the programs that use it can reside on other PCs connected to each other.

Service application that allows you to download data automatically from the FTP servers where the data logger Alpha-Log sent them. Once received, it is possible to manage the data for different purposes:

  • Use the data with programs that support the SQL-GIDAS database;
  • Use the data present in the SQL database in a flexible and immediate way through third-party applications created for the purpose;
  • Back up ASCII data from an FTP area to local or shared folders.

Data download from remote FTP area

Both data loggers can send data to several FTP areas. The tools connect itself automatically and periodically to each FTP area and download the data from there. Then the tool saves the data into SQL GIDAS data base in the receiver server for further management.

Moving file into the server

After data download the tool can move the file to a backup folder of the FTP area.

Introduction of the resistivity-water content calibration function

The user can enter the calibration parameters of a specific site function for the transformation of resistivity sections into sections of soil water content. To obtain parameters A and B of the function, it is necessary to perform a core drilling with ex-traction of samples at different depths on which to measure the water content of the soil.

Measurement configuration

The user configures the execution of the G.Re.T.A. system measurements indicating the type of survey:

  •  apparent resistivity measurement
  • measurement of contact resistances

And choosing the time frequency of the measurement. The system updates automatically, recognizing the presence of a new configuration file on the cloud.

Alarm module

The user can set alarms to be activated when the resistivity data variation thresholds are exceeded. It is possible to choose the area of the section on which apply the alarm, the temporal distance on which evaluate the command and the % change in resistivity to be achieved. For each system it is possible to set different alarms with different thresholds, ap-plied to different areas of the section or acting on different time periods. The user is notified that the threshold has been exceeded via an email.

Heat Shield Manager is a program for assessing the risk of thermal stress in the workplace by calculating indoor and outdoor WBGT indices, according to the updated ISO7243: 2017 standard.

The program is combined with the Heat Shield instrument, from which it downloads the data, analyzes them and produces tables, graphs and reports, managing the data according to the configuration set on the instrument.

Calculation module of the evapotranspiration index according to FAO Penman-Monteith

Module to calculate the evapotranspiration index according to the FAO Penman-Monteith equation (“Crop evapotranspiration – Giudelines for computing crop water requirements FAO Irrigation and drainage paper 56, FAO – Food and Agricolture Organization of the United nations Roma, 1998”). Evapotranspiration is the water loss of soil and plants that turns into vapor. GIDAS-Penman software allows to calculate the daily and monthly evapotranspiration index ET0, that is the evapotranspiration rate from a benchmark surface. It gets the data from the SQL server GIDAS data base.

InfoFLUX

InfoFLUX

Module for calculating the thermal conductance and the transmittance value

InfoFLUX, developed by ANIT (Italian National Association for Thermal and Acoustic Insulation), allows the calculation of the thermal conductance, from which the thermal transmittance value U is derived. This is a physical quantity that is used to calculate the thermal losses through a surface (e.g. an external wall). The lower its value, the lower the thermal losses will be.

For each measurement point, the InfoFLUX program performs thermal conductance calculations using two methods: “method of flowing averages” (ISO 9869: 1994) and “black box method” which processes the values with a statistical method, this method allows to obtain the result in a shorter time than the “sliding averages” method.

The program needs as input an ASCII file containing the values of:

  • N.2 Temperature in contact with the external wall
  • N.1 Temperature in contact with the internal wall
  • N.1 Thermal flow through the wall

Module for data logger configuration and data download

GIDAS-TEA includes a module that sends the most appropriate configuration to the data logger according to the probes availability to carry out microclimat surveys. It also includes a specific module for data download without the use of 3DOM.

Managing surveys, stations and measured items

  • Data logger devices can record measurements as surveys. each survey is identifiied by a number and its data/time of start/end of the merasurements. GIDAS-TEA records survey and allows separate microclimate analysis
  • Setup and storing of the position where surveys have been carried out, including description as site, building, environment, measurement position
  • Subjects setup: clothing (Clo), metabolic rate (Met) and Efficiency (%). These information are obtained from recorded tables from relevant ISO standards.

Survey analysis per position

Once a position is configured, it is possible to match the relevant surveys and carry out the microclimate indices analysis for each related subject. GIDAS-TEA tracks all the results obtained in the same position over the time. This is useful to monitor dynamic changes over the time, depending by the microclimate conditions and the different analyzed subjects.

Report of data

  • It can formulate charts and tables using environmental measurements and indices calculated for each subject in each position
  • It automatically produces a final report with information about position of measurement, free texts, tables and charts. This report can be saved as docx or open office xml (ECMA-376).

PHS index (Hor environments module)

The PHS index (predicted heat Strain) described in the ISO7933:2004 standard, allows to verify the working and resting environments and supply working and resting cycles to the worker to avoid heat stress situations according to the limits.

Calculator

  • Simulation feature: it is possible to replace one more measures environmental quantities (e.g. air temperature) with a fixed value and allows to estimate the microclimate indices. This also helps to choose which sensor/measure to be used for a specific calculation, in case of equal quantities coming from different sensors (common situation in multi-measurement nteworks).
  • Calclulator: it is possible to set specific estimated values for all the input values of the microclimate calculations, and to provide results of indices in those dynamic conditions. It is possible to change aech specific value to check how the index values could change in different conditions. Results can be exported as ASCII or Excel files.

Wind Watcher records and menages wind speed and wind direction data coming from many sensors of one site. It instantly processes data and identifies activities or alerts status to readily report potentially dangerous wind conditions for the operations of the site. WindWatcher can help taking decisions about operating conditions of the site, like safety, warning or alarmi status. It is commonly used in port terminals, railways, cableways, construction sites, off-shore platforms, etc. where it is necessary to manage activities according to wind conditions.

Wind Watcher receives real time values every second from the connected wind sensor (through one or more data logger) via radio, WiFi or Ethernet. it processes data and detected alerts, which are sent to the PC clients of the network to be viewed by the surveillance staff.

Ir is possible to view the past wind conditions which determined a specific operating situation in any moment.

The determination of the dust content is based on the method of scattered light measurement. The sucked air is tempered. The flow enforcement takes place via the integrated fan (2 l/min). In the device there is a periodic control and correction of zero point and reference point which is enabled by the electrostatic precipitator with integrated high voltage module. A high zero-point stability is achieved by evaluation of the internal measuring signals.

For the measurement of electrical emissions into the atmosphere

Detection of the storm front distance (not lightning strike intensity) within an area of in 5÷40 km range. Utilizing a sensitive RF receiver and integrated proprietary algorithm, all models detect the electrical emissions from lightning activity and then provide for an estimation of the distance to the head of the storm from 40 km away, while rejecting disturbances from manmade signals such as motors and microwave ovens. The estimated distance which is detected idoes not represent the distance to the single lightning but the estimated distance to the leading edge of the storm.
